The Porsche Connect App lets you transfer navigation destinations from the address book or calendar of your iPhone to the infotainment system of your Porsche (Porsche Communication Management, PCM) quickly and easily. Destinations are stored in a personal favourites list. As soon as your smartphone is connected to the vehicle via WiFi, you can call up the destinations via the PCM and start navigation.
Another highlight is navigation using images from the Photos app. You can start navigation using the coordinates stored in a photo.
Moreover, the app includes an online search function that you can use to find destinations such as restaurants, for example, and save them in your favourites list.
With the Porsche Connect App, you can also check the current traffic situation at your destination before you start your journey. While driving, you can use the real-time PCM traffic information service to ensure that you reach your destination quickly and safely.*
Music Services are also included. The Porsche Connect App provides access to millions of music tracks through the apps of various music providers, which you call up using the music player of your PCM.
The availability of individual Porsche Connect App functionalities can vary in different countries.
Battery drain is significantly increased through the continuous use of GPS in the background. The Porsche Connect App has been developed to make the most efficient possible use of GPS in order to reduce battery drain to a minimum.
*The use of the real-time traffic information of the Porsche Connect App is free of charge. The real-time traffic information service as a component of the PCM navigation module includes a free inclusive period of at least 12 months and can be extended subject to a charge at www.porsche.com/connect. The use of this service requires a data-enabled SIM card.
A separate, subscription-based contract with a mobile phone provider is required. Information on availability of real-time traffic information as a component of the app and of PCM in your country can be obtained from your Porsche Centre.
